Just look at this incredible night sky at Big Sky Ranch. Nicaragua is blessed with minimal light pollution so on a clear night star gazing is truly epic.

On the right hand side of the tree you can see the silhouette of the  Montezuma Oropendola rookery.

The night sky has fascinated us for centuries. Ancient peoples attached beliefs and myths to figures they saw in the stars. Early voyagers navigated using the night sky as if it were a map. Nowadays we often forget to take a moment to look up and see the Milky Way in all its glory. Sometimes you just need to know where to go. Big Sky Ranch in Nicaragua is one of those places.
